The Story

Kadampa Meditation Center Washington DC was founded on September 22, 1994 as Vajrayogini Buddhist Center. A church property was purchased in the Southwest Waterfront neighborhood to create a World Peace Temple in the US Capitol City. The upper floor has a beautiful 250-person meditation room, and the lower level includes a second meditation room, community area, bookstore, and dining area.
